Our Story
From horse barn to gathering place
In March 2015 we bought a ten-acre horse farm just outside Shelbyville, and a month later Hidden Brook Acres was born. The barn had housed quarter horses for years. We removed the stalls and mangers, laid a new floor, and kept the original wood and character that make it special. With new lighting and soft curtains in place, we opened our doors about five months later.
Since then we have hosted weddings, corporate events, family reunions, birthday parties and more. Every event is different, but our goal is always the same: a beautiful day that runs smoothly, so you can be fully present with the people you love.
Meet the team
Jeff Kuhn & Bradley Rund

Jeff grew up just down the road. He has spent more than 20 years in the event industry and is owner of Kuhn Event Management, LLC. He brings that experience to every event at the barn.
Bradley is a Shelby County native. He serves as a Lieutenant and Paramedic with the Shelbyville Fire Department, and he is also a nurse practitioner and the owner of Foundry Functional Medicine.
Today, they’re proud to share this place with couples and families celebrating life’s biggest moments.
